2. Skills Gap

75% of organizations are experiencing visible business disruptions due to infrastructure and operations skills gaps; an increase from roughly 20% in 2016 (Gartner). The shortage of talent in the technology sector is a major issue that is hampering growth of companies in Canada. According to the metrics acquired from the Government of Canada, 218,000 ICT positions are projected to be vacant this year but there are only 29,000 graduates with the appropriate training are entering the workforce.

3. IT Operations Manual

Most companies that we talk to barely give this a second thought but having an IT Operations Manual in place is a necessity for any business. Cybersecurity management, data storage and backups, and network management details need to be collected and in a secure place when changes of internal employees or managed service providers come up.
